It is widely rumored that Apple will release the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max next year instead of the iPhone 14 mini. While it is obvious that this will basically be a large-screen iPhone without a “Pro” ID, the display features seem to be very close to the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Of course, we do not have precise and clear information about any of these phones at the moment. However, according to the leaked information, this time Apple aims to create an intermediate category at the upper level as the “max” model instead of the “mini” model. Accordingly, the iPhone 14 Max model will act very close to the Pro Max model, especially in terms of screen capabilities. So much so that the phone is said to have a 6.7-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. But price will be the determining factor in this regard.
According to reports, Apple is currently in talks with LG Display and BOE for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. While negotiations continue with the LG side over 120Hz display panels, on the other hand, negotiations with BOE about 60Hz panels continue. The company’s preference is to supply 120Hz OLED display panels if an agreement can be reached with LG, but if not, it will turn to BOE this time. As a result, we will see together which panel will be used in the iPhone 14 Max model.
