When will the iPhone 14 series, iPad and Apple Watch models be introduced?

What can we expect from the iPhone 14 series?

Let’s check which models we will encounter before we examine the leaks and confirmed features for the new models. Because, according to the latest news, a surprising name change and a new model await us in the iPhone 14 series.

Apple will come up with 4 new models this year. But unlike in the past years, it is certain that a large-size version will come instead of the mini (we can see it as the new SE on March 2023). The name was expected to be iPhone 14 Max. Because although it is the same as the Pro Max in size, it will be similar to the 14 on the processor, camera and screen side.

But according to a strong claim, Apple wants the Max nomenclature to be specific to Pro models. For this reason, it will bring back the Plus name, which we encountered in the last 8th generation. Therefore, the naming of the new series will be iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, respectively.

When we look at the design side, this year Pro models will stand out. Because now, instead of the iconic notch on the front, there will be a hole for the camera and a second pill-shaped hole for Face ID. We can roughly compare it to Huawei’s Mate 40 Pro design. But let’s say it will be positioned in the middle part. The handset is placed on the upper part between the screen and the case.

The iPhone 14 and Plus model, on the other hand, will come with the notch of the iPhone 13, which was introduced last year, which has been reduced by 30 percent compared to its predecessor. It should also be noted that the screens used will also be different. First of all, the screen bezels will be significantly thinner.

In addition, due to the problems in the supply chain from Apple’s chip crisis, it is said that we will see a 120 Hz refresh rate only for Pros this year, as in the iPhone 13 and Pro models. So 14 and Plus may come with 60 Hz.

On the processor side, things are a bit complicated. Looking at the overall leaks, it seems that Apple will again keep the Pro models separate from the rest of the series. Allegedly, the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models will use the A16 Bionic processor, while the 14 and 14 Plus will use the A15 Bionic processor used in the iPhone 13 series.

However, according to another claim, with the improvements made in the past period (before the M series), it is possible to switch to the X series used in tablets. In this case, we may encounter a new chip called A15X Bionic.

On the camera side, Apple enlarged both lenses and sensors last year. This year, we expect to see 48 Megapixel cameras, whose design and registration studies have been revealed a while ago, instead of the 12 Megapixel array.
