iPhone 14 and 14 Plus can be updated via USB-C connection
References to unreleased iPhone models were found in the codes of the last tvOS 17 beta version. References have been found to two iPhone models that have not yet been released. It is claimed that these are iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, which will be renewed with USB-C in accordance with European Union regulations.
When Apple introduces new Pro models, it stops production of the previous generation Pros and removes them from sale. When the iPhone 15 comes out, it’s likely that the iPhone 14 Pros will no longer be available in Apple stores, with the flat iPhone 14 and the big-screen 14 Plus going to go on sale. It is said that Apple may renew the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus with USB-C along with the iPhone 15, as the new standard will soon be USB-C within the scope of harmonization with the EU.
Apple has been using the Lightning connection on iPhones since 2012. With the iPhone 15, it will finally switch to the USB-C standard on iPhones, albeit with some restrictions.
