Apple launched its newest iPhones at an event it held in the past weeks. The company played its trump card this year with the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The new iPhones are currently on sale in many countries and are available for pre-orders in our country.
While most users started using the iPhone 13 series, technology channels also bought these phones and put them through various tests. TechRax, which is very popular among them, this time chose the iPhone 13 Pro model and performed a tough endurance test.
iPhone 13 Pro put to rigorous tests
TechRax channel, known for its many tests before, put Apple’s new member iPhone 13 Pro to a tough test.
As it is known, Apple has included a Ceramic Shield protected screen, which is a very strong material, in the iPhone 13 Pro model. This display was developed by Corning and is four times more resistant to drops than previous versions.
TechRax, on the other hand, put the iPhone 13 Pro, which is claimed to be durable with different tests, to a more difficult test than simple drop impacts. Performing unconventional tests, the channel measured the durability of the iPhone 13 Pro with a three-pound hammer.
It is worth noting that in addition to the durable screen of the iPhone 13 Pro, other parts are also equipped with very solid materials. Equipped with a durable screen with Corning, the iPhone 13 Pro prevents other impacts to the body thanks to the ceramic material.
As for the tests, the iPhone 13 Pro was first exposed to a hammer blow from a short distance. TechRax applied light blows to the device, dropping the three-pound hammer onto the phone’s screen. Having successfully passed this test, the iPhone 13 Pro later moved on to the next stage.
This time TechRax increased both the weight and the repetition of the blow. However, the screen of the iPhone 13 Pro surprisingly withstood this blow. Then, while the screen was intact, the blow to the iPhone 13 Pro got a little harder. This time, the device could not withstand a very hard blow and gave its first explosion from the screen. As a result of strong impacts, the phone’s screen cracked, and unsurprisingly, the back glass also broke without any impact.
Previously, Apple’s iPhones were very popular in terms of durability. However, the company seems to have worked well in this area. Apple, which has included a more durable screen and body in recent years, has managed to overcome this problem with Corning, where it has invested heavily. Because the tough test of the iPhone 13 Pro clearly shows this.
