The young woman, who was found on China’s Twitter Weibo under the pseudonym LegalDaily, downloaded the application in the advertisement saying that she could buy the iPhone 13 for only 1 yuan. downloaded it. First, he had to create a membership, and he had to pay a small amount of 39.9 yuan (about 6 dollars) for it.
Thinking that he can finally have an iPhone 13 for 1 yuan after opening an account, LegalDaily was shocked by the message he came across: “Insufficient balance” was displayed in the application and required to complete the registration process. The balance had to be replenished. For this, he was asked to purchase an annual membership card.
1000 yuan ($ 1500) was required to fully meet the sufficient balance requested by the app. The iPhone 13 starts at $900 on Apple’s online store in China. If the woman hadn’t realized she’d been trapped and had continued to invest in the app, she would have had the phone much more expensive than the original price.
Actually, it’s not impossible!
According to the information shared by the woman, when a 9.9 yuan monthly membership card is purchased, the application defines a 9.9 yuan balance to the user’s account. When the annual card is purchased by paying 39.9 yuan, it gives a balance of 49.9 yuan. In addition, inviting someone earns between 5 yuan and 20 yuan.
In other words, it is necessary to have a membership card of approximately 260 years in order to purchase the iPhone 13 through the application. It is actually not impossible to actually buy a phone for 1 yuan, for this the user needs to invite 650 friends and buy an annual membership for each of them.
