iPhone 12 ban may spread to other countries: High radiation was detected
Belgium announced today that it will re-evaluate the potential health risks of the iPhone 12. The decision came right after France banned iPhone 12 sales across the country on the grounds that exposure limits to electromagnetic radiation were violated.

Mathieu Michel, Belgium’s minister of state for digitalization, said in a statement to Reuters: “It is my duty to make sure that all citizens are safe. I quickly reached out to the regulatory body to request an analysis on the potential danger of the product.”

The minister added that he has also asked the regulator to examine all Apple-branded smartphones, as well as devices produced by other manufacturers, at a later stage. Meanwhile, the situation is being followed closely by other European countries.

Germany and the Netherlands are also on alert

German regulator BNetzA has also said it may take similar action and is in close contact with French authorities. However, the Dutch digital watchdog also said that it was examining the issue and would ask for an explanation from the US company.

Apple says that the iPhone 12 has been approved by various international organizations to meet global radiation standards. The company has submitted numerous laboratory tests conducted by independent third parties to the French National Frequency Agency (ANFR) confirming that the iPhone complies with worldwide SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) standards.

ANFR states that in tests carried out by accredited laboratories, it was determined that the iPhone 12 emits 5.74 watts of electromagnetic waves per kilogram when held in the hand or in the trouser pocket. Let us remind you that the European Union standard is 4.0 watts per kilogram.
