Apple today announced its new products via a press release. The company also gave a date for iPadOS 16, which it postponed to October. The operating system designed specifically for Apple tablets will be available on Monday, October 24.

It was reported that the Cupertino company postponed iPadOS 16 to October in order to improve the Stage Manager function in particular. The operating system, the optimization process of which has been completed, will finally meet the users next Monday.

New features coming with iPadOS 16:

  • Stage Manager: Delivers a whole new multitasking experience by automatically arranging apps and windows and making switching between tasks quick and easy
  • What’s new in the Messages app: Edit, retract sent messages, mark as unread and more
  • What’s new in the Mail app: Ability to preset the time to send mails, cancel sending, and more
  • Weather app designed to take full advantage of iPad’s stunning display
  • Brand new Home app
  • Screen scaling mode
  • Redesigned Game Center panel
  • Desktop-grade apps
Released early next week, iPadOS 16 will be available as a free software update for the 5th generation iPad and newer, 5th generation iPad mini and later, 3rd generation iPad Air and later, and all iPad Pro models. The new M2 will come preloaded on iPad Pro models.
