Apple is the leader with 31.5% market share

IDC reports reveal the distribution of the world tablet market. According to the data, 38.4 million tablets were sold worldwide in the first quarter of 2022, a decrease of 3.9% compared to the first quarter of the previous year. Apple leads the way with 12.1 million iPad sales. However, Apple has reduced its market share from 31.7% to 31.5% last year. Overall, Apple lost 4.6%, while Samsung recorded 3.5% magnification. Making a statement on the subject, Apple CFO Luca Maestri stated that they grew in all areas except iPad, but they recorded a 2% decline in iPad revenues, but cited supply restrictions as the cause of the situation.

Apple is the leader with 31.5% market share, while Samsung is second with 21.1% market share. Amazon, Lenovo and Huawei follow Samsung, respectively. According to IDC, the new moves made by OPPO and Xiaomi in the tablet market will enable them to take larger parts of the market share in the coming years. In Chromebook sales, Lenovo is the leader with 1.2 million sales. But overall Chromebook sales are well behind iPad sales alone, with 5.1 million units.
