Tapping the download button in the App Store displays the time remaining for the download to complete in minutes and seconds, with the circular download symbol appearing. If it is a small application, the remaining time is not displayed. The time required to download the application will of course vary depending on the user’s internet speed and the size of the application.
While there are users who find this small change useful, there are also those who find it useless. It may be useful to see the download times of apps while restoring an iCloud backup, or to see how long it takes to download when the internet connection is poor. However, it’s an unnecessary change as apps usually don’t take too long to download. Maybe Apple can remove it in iOS 17 beta 2 release.
