Apple recently released the iOS 17 developer beta, and iOS 17 features that Apple does not include in the promotion continue to be discovered by users. With the iOS 17 update, it was revealed that iPhones automatically block files and messages with sensitive content such as nudity.

Sensitive photos will be blocked system-wide

It will blur sensitive images sent from Messages, AirDrop, Contact Posters, FaceTime messages and third party apps. This optional feature will prevent users from being exposed to unwanted images. Nudity will be blocked but will be visible by tapping the show button.

Sensitive content alert works like Apple’s added Communication Safety feature for kids and can be seen as an enhanced version. Photo filtering is implemented system-wide, AirDrop, messages, and third-party apps. Detection takes place on the device; that is, Apple does not see the shared content.
