What’s new with iOS 17.1 beta

iOS 17.1 (21B5045h) lets you favorite songs and albums in Apple Music. When you tap the three-dot menu on a song or album, a new Add to Favorites icon appears. All songs and albums added to favorites are automatically added to the created playlists. Also added album art library which can be used to customize playlists.

Apple mentioned the new streaming feature added to AirDrop in the iOS 17 description. Thanks to this feature, file transfer continues outside the coverage area. This feature, which was not included in the first version of iOS 17, came with iOS 17.1. There is a new option in the settings where you can choose to use cellular data in addition to WiFi to complete the AirDrop transfer.

On the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, an indicator was added to the dynamic island area informing that the flashlight was on. It can come in handy when you forget to turn off the flashlight after using it or accidentally press the flashlight button. With iOS 17.1, this indicator was added to all models with dynamic islands, including the iPhone 14 Pro.
