The beta test process for iOS 16, which will be available to everyone after the iPhone 14 series is introduced in September, continues at full speed. While the re-launch of the battery percentage, which was removed years ago with the Beta 5 version, was highly discussed in the social media, the iOS 16 Beta 6 update was also released.
When we look at the update size, we see that it is 426.5 MB for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The low size hints that it does not bring a big innovation. With Beta 6, some improvements were made while the errors detected in previous versions were fixed.
What has changed with iOS 16 Beta 6?
There was a change that did not interest the end user, but surprised the developers. The API of the Live Events feature, which was announced with iOS 16, was closed to third-party applications with the Beta 6 version. So when you want to use any application that uses this feature, it doesn’t work.
Beta 6 with version number 20A5349b is currently available to developers, so a normal user will not receive any update alerts. You can test these versions by installing an iOS Beta profile on your device, but we do not recommend this unless you are a developer.
Although stability has increased considerably with the latest beta versions of iOS 16, there is a high chance of errors in these versions. You may have to revert to the previous version due to any error. For this reason, our advice is to wait for the release of the final version of iOS 16, that is, in September.
