With the first beta of the iOS 15 operating system introduced at WWDC 2021, innovations waiting for users began to emerge. In addition to system improvements and improvements, the operating system, which has many useful new features, also provides great convenience for photos.
iOS 15 Will Show Where Photos Came From
The incoming iOS 15 version brought new capabilities to the Photos app. While the first feature appeared as the EXIF information of the photo that appeared in the past days, now the second feature has emerged.
The second feature is accessed via a new “Info” button where you can add a title field for the selected photo, the location where the photo was taken, and any available search information.
In addition to the above, the info button will tell you which app on your device an image was saved from if you didn’t capture it using your camera. For example, in the example above, you can see that the HomePod image was saved from the web via Safari.
This metadata information also acts as an edit tag, so if you tap the “Saved” location in bold, the Photos app filters your photo library to show you other images saved from the same app, so you don’t have to bother to find them among photos outside of your destination.
The new feature adds another layer of organization to your photos, allowing you to find all the pictures you’ve saved, for example from Messages or WhatsApp conversation threads, without having to go into apps.
