Apple removed the AirTag battery indicator from the Find My app in iOS 15.6 and the public beta of iOS 16. Earlier versions of the mobile operating system still have an icon that looks like iPhone battery status under the AirTag name and location.
iOS 15.6 update released: Here are the new features offered
Although the battery indicator did not provide a percentage value, it gave a rough idea of the status of the CR2032 button battery in the AirTag. A notification will now appear only when the AirTag battery level is very low. Thus, users will be reminded that it is time to change the battery.
can come back again
With the iOS 15.6 update, it is no longer possible to check the battery level of AirTag. It is thought that the charging icon may have been completely removed due to the indicator not working correctly. Once Apple fixes the problem, the battery indicator may come back again. We’ll wait and see.
