iOS 15.5 beta 2 update is out

Apple continues the beta process of iOS 15 after releasing iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 updates last month. In this context, the technology giant, which released the first beta of iOS 15.5 two weeks ago, has released iOS 15.5 beta 2 and iPadOS 15.5 beta 2 versions for developers today.

In addition to these, the operating system of Apple TV has been upgraded to tvOS 15.5 beta 2, and the operating system of Apple Watch has been upgraded to watchOS 8.6 beta 2. In iOS 15.5 beta 2, released with build number 19F5057e, Apple has focused heavily on improvements to the Wallet app.

iOS 15.5 beta 2 released

Key innovations with the new iOS 15.5 beta 2 and iPadOS 15.5 beta 2:

  • New Request and Send for Apple Cash in the Wallet app buttons added.
  • Physical Apple Card is now called ‘Titanium Card’ in Wallet settings.
  • iTunes Pass has been renamed “Apple Account Card” in the Wallet app.

Along with iOS 15.5, iTunes Pass will be a new card called “Apple Account”. This card will be displayed in the Wallet app, just like the Apple Card and Apple Cash card. This way, the user will be able to complete the purchase using Apple Pay, instead of having to show the QR code while shopping at the Apple Store.

Apple states in the release notes that Universal Control in iPadOS 15.5 beta 1 is not compatible with macOS Monterey version 12.3. To use this function smoothly, you need to install macOS 12.4 beta 1 on your Mac or downgrade your iPad to iPadOS 15.4.

To install iOS 15.5 beta 2, you must first download the Apple Developer Profile to your iPhone. After installing, go to Settings > Update and check for updates, the phone will connect to Apple’s servers, find the new version and install it.
