John Warnock, co-founder of Adobe, one of the world’s largest companies in the graphics and media software industry, passed away at the age of 82. In the statements made by Adobe, no evaluation was made about the cause of death of the legendary software developer.

John Warnock co-founded Adobe with his partner Charles Geschke in 1982. The first software of the company was “PostScript”, which made a great contribution to laying the foundation of desktop publishing. While the company has been working on advanced versions of PostScript over the years, it has also expanded its presence with software such as Acrobat Reader and Photoshop. John Warnock was among the critical names during the development period of all these software.

He stepped down as CEO in 2000.

John Warnock, who served as Adobe’s CEO until 2000, later left this post. Continuing to work as Adobe’s Chairman of the Board until 2017, Warnock chose to remain as one of the board members in the next period. John Warnock, who was honored with the National Medal of Technology and Innovation by former US President Barack Obama, also received awards both in the USA and internationally.

In a statement made by Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, John Warnock’s family and loved ones wished vineyard health.
