Anti-vaccine truckers’ actions continue in Canada. Activists had recently closed the Canada-US border with their trucks, causing a state of emergency to be declared. The use of cryptocurrencies was on the agenda for those who wanted to donate to these protests. Following the launch of the campaign to support truckers with cryptocurrencies, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) took action.
RCMP has issued an order saying that organizations in the country regulated by the Canadian Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Center should stop interacting with 34 crypto wallets.
RCMP said on the subject: :
“The Ontario State Police and Royal Canadian Mounted Police are currently investigating cryptocurrency donations collected in connection with illegal acts covered by the Emergency Measures Act. Pursuant to the Emergency Economic Measures Order pursuant to subsection 19(1) of the Emergency Situations Act, it has a duty to cease facilitating any transaction related to the following cryptocurrency address(es)”
Blacklisted cryptocurrency wallets 1, It is stated that transactions worth up to 1 million dollars were made.
