The dark clouds about Arc, the new graphics card technology that Intel has developed as a result of long studies and investments, never disperse. It is claimed that there are serious problems especially on the desktop graphics card side, and sales that started only in China support these claims. Now there is another interesting news.
Interesting change from Intel
At the end of last year, a total of 300 people had the chance to win an award in the competition organized for graphics technologies under the name Xe-HPG Scavenger Hunt. In April, it was confirmed that this grand prize would be Intel Arc A770 and other awards would be Intel Arc A750 graphics card.
Intel graphics department is in trouble
However, in the email messages sent to the winners, it is stated that Intel Core i7-12700K processor is offered instead of Intel Arc A770 and Intel Core i5-12600K processor is offered instead of Intel Arc A750. In other words, Intel is unable to deliver the gifts it promised.
In the conditions of the competition, it is stated that the supply depends on the stocks and that it can be replaced with an equivalent product if necessary, but it is considered strange to give a processor as a substitute in a video card themed competition. On the other hand, there are some who state that the new graphics cards will be around $410-290 by looking at the price of equivalent products.
It is not known why this decision was made, but it is estimated that the company is in a serious production problem or has performance problems with the cards. It was also on the agenda that AIB partners were reluctant due to production problems and software problems.
