The Department of Energy has become the second US intelligence agency to say the outbreak arose as a result of a laboratory leak. The first agency to make this claim was the FBI. Senior intelligence officials, including Director of Intelligence Avril Haines and CIA Director William Burns, say a lab leak is on the table as a distinct possibility. However, let’s underline that this is a laboratory leak claim.
On the other hand, the issue of how the Covid-19 epidemic started is still a mystery and a situation that has not been clarified. The general scientific community thinks that it is transmitted to humans through an animal carrying the virus.
