In a recent video stream by YouTuber DrLupo, Intel GPU chief Raja Koduri talked about ARC and the company’s future plans for its external GPUs. In the meantime, Koduri also shared something that will be of great interest to the players.
Coderi said that Intel’s graphics team is currently working on several next-generation technologies, and one of them includes allowing a user to remotely play games on friends’ computers: “What if you could give your friend remote access to your PC and play games together on your own computer. . ”
Such technologies seem particularly intriguing, especially at a time of travel restrictions and social distancing.
That said, Koduri was quick to point out that it will take time to see this type of technology in action, as he talks about an overall roadmap for the next five years: “This isn’t something that will happen right away by 2022, but we’re working on things like this.”
The first-generation ARC graphics cards, codenamed “Alchemist”, are scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2022, meaning Intel can showcase ARC GPUs for the first time at CES. Intel will not attend the fair physically due to the Omicron variant, but it is expected to make some statements online.
