Meteor Lake canceled, Arrow Lake is coming
However, it is claimed that the 6P+16E configuration of Meteor Lake-S will be canceled and instead, Arrow Lake-S with 8P+16E configuration with 24 cores will be used for the new series, which will be released with Intel’s new 800 series chipsets. In addition to pulling Arrow Lake forward, it is stated that motherboards with Z890, B860 and H810 chips will come. It is also said that Intel will release the W880 and Q870 chipsets for entry-level workstations.
Frankly, there are still a lot of rumors about the Intel 14th Gen Core series and nothing seems to be finalized yet. What is clear is that the next generation will hit the market late this year or early next year. With LGA-1851, the socket structure will also change and current LGA-1700 motherboards or processors will not be compatible.
