Intel, which has recently launched the Arc A380, the low-end model of the Arc graphics card series, is preparing to launch the mid and high-end models of the series. With the release of new cards approaching, the popular mining software Nanominer announced that the software is now compatible with the Intel Arc A380.
lags behind GTX 1660 series
According to reports, Arc A380 can reach 10.2 MH/s excavation speed with 75W power consumption without any optimization. Frankly, we can say that this is not a perfect mining performance. Because this value is even behind the GTX 1660 series, while it is well below the 0.38 MH / s average of popular graphics cards.
The Arc A380, with its 96-bit bus, 8 Xe cores, and 6GB of memory, seems suitable only for Ethereum Classic (ETC) mining, not Ethereum (ETH), although it has sufficient VRAM size for mining. The reason for this is that the available VRAM size of the card is 4832 MB. It is not yet known whether the mid-high-end models of the Arc series, which will be released in the future, are suitable for mining.
Intel Arc A380 tested in 50 games: Results better than expected
Ethereum is expected to change its business model and transition to Proof of Stake sometime between September 10 and 20. With the new change, Ethereum mining, which is now performed on video cards, will end.
