Giant incentive to Intel
Intel, which took the first step for chip facilities in Germany in 2021, announced a total investment package of 17 billion dollars. In return, he would receive an incentive package worth 6.8 billion euros from the German government.
With the economic crisis, the cost of the facilities approached 30 billion euros. As a result, Intel knocked on the government’s door. As a result of the bitter negotiations, the German government agreed to give 9.9 billion euros in incentives. Intel normally wanted an incentive of around 12 billion euros.
With the money obtained, one third of the investments in Germany were met. The company also makes chip investments in Poland and Italy. In this respect, the incentive given will also ensure the progress of these investments.
