The world’s largest chip manufacturer Intel held an event at its headquarters in Israel today. At this year’s leg of the annual ‘Technology Tour’ event, the company gave clues about the new products it is developing. While the names of these products have not been announced yet, a news was given that the company will run to records.

In a slide he showed, Intel included its firsts and important developments to date. In the ‘2022’ section of the slide, there was information about an unknown, world-record-breaking processor. In the details that appeared under the 13th Gen Intel Core i9 processor, the company showed a DDR5 supported processor that offers a standard 6 GHz speed. While the processor will be a first with 6 GHz, it will also break a record with its overclock speed.

6 GHz standard speed, 8 GHz overclock with new world record coming!

According to the shared technical details, the new processor will offer a 300 MHz higher speed than AMD’s latest processors, Ryzen 7000, with its standard speed of 6 GHz. However, the new 13th generation ‘Raptor Lake’ processors will give 15% better results in single-core performance and 41% better in multi-core performance than previous generation processors, the Alder Lake series. On top of that, the processor will be able to reach 8 GHz with overclocking.

In addition, the development of the new processor series will be completed 6 months earlier than the Alder Lake series, according to Intel’s statement. The reason for this will be the platform and architectural harmony of the new series with the Alder Lake series. While Intel continues to share implicit information at the event, the products covered by the new information are expected to become clear in the coming weeks.
