Raptor Lake Refresh processors are starting to get clear
For those who don’t know, Intel Raptor Lake Refresh, exactly as the name suggests, will bring minor optimizations to the current 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors. So the new CPUs will continue to use the Intel 7 processing node and will be compatible with existing LGA 1700/1800 motherboards. Today’s leak offers an early preview of the details of the Core i9-14900K, Core i7-14700K and Core i5-14600K, which will be included in the family.
A sub-model Core i7-14700K has 20 cores, 8P Core and 12E Core. Surprisingly, goodbye to the 4 efficiency cores found in the 13700K. In addition, the CPU, which will have 65MB L2+L3 cache capacity, will be accompanied by a 120W TDP and a 200MHz clock speed increase.
Finally, the Core i5-14600K will see 58MB of L2+L3 cache and a 200MHz boost in P-core maximum turbo speed and 100MHz in E-core. The number of cores will remain the same. Let me point out that this is not surprising. Niketim i5-13600K is currently one of the most successful mid-range processors. The 14600K seems to continue this tradition.
