Intel Raptor Lake-HX processors, which will power premium-class laptops, have started to appear in PassMark. Today the Core i9-13980HX and Core i9-13900HX with 24 cores and 55W TDP were compared to its rival AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX. Here are the results

Intel Raptor Lake mobile processors tested in PassMark

If we remember, AMD’s “Dragon Range” laptop flagship Ryzen 9 7845HX took the leadership seat of the list with 46,791 points in PassMark. However, this leadership was short lived. In the tests performed in PassMark, Intel managed to recapture the first two places of the list with 54,483 and 51,739 points recorded with the Core i9-13980HX and Intel Core i9-13900HX.

Detailed score data shows that Raptor Lake-HX is at least 9 to 14 percent faster than AMD Dragon Range in single-threaded loads and close to the last generation Alder Lake-HX processors. In multi-threaded tests, the situation is different. By increasing the number of cores to 24, both processors perform 11 percent higher than the 12-core AMD Ryzen 7 7845X.

Although AMD has fallen behind in the leaderboard, we know that the company is working on the 16-core Ryzen 9 7945HX. Therefore, the competition in mobile processors may change in a short time.
