Intel, which has recently released its 13th Generation Raptor Lake architecture processors, has started to slowly cut its support for older generation architectures. In this context, the chip giant, which announced that Rocket Lake-S processors will be removed from production last month, has now added certain 11th generation ‘Tiger Lake’ processors to the list.

Certain 11th Gen ‘Tiger Lake’ processors are being retired

According to the statement, Intel plans to stop production of certain 11th generation ‘Tiger Lake’ processors until January 2024. However, with the process reportedly kicking off this week, CPUs will have several stages before they officially reach “end of life” status.

Looking at the list shared by Intel, we see five mobile 11th Gen Core-H series processors, including the Core i7-11800H, which is probably one of the most popular CPUs for gaming laptops. The company also confirmed that four B-series “desktop” CPUs will also be discontinued. Let us remind you that these CPUs are mobile/desktop hybrid solutions used especially in Intel NUC Extreme systems.

In light of the shared information, we can say that the Tiger Lake series will join the Rocket Lake desktop CPUs that were discontinued a few weeks ago. This marks the ultimate end of the 11th Gen Intel Core family. As a matter of fact, let us state that other models will be included in the list in the future.
