Meteor Lake-S desktop processors may be canceled
For those who don’t know, Meteor Lake-S desktop processors with LGA 1851 socket were expected to accompany Arrow Lake processors. However, long-standing claims are that Meteor Lake desktop processors will be canceled.
The roadmap from Intel, updated May 1 – May 7, confirms the cancellation of the MTL S6+8 Meteor Lake-S die for the desktop series. When we look at the details in the table, we see that the processors are divided into S, H, PX, M, U and N series. In other words, it shows us the full version of the Intel Core range.
Therefore, the Arrow Lake Desktop CPU series can come up with a maximum of 14 cores and 20 threads, much less than the 24 cores and 32 threads (8+16) we get in Raptor Lake-S Desktop CPUs.
