Presenting at the International Conference on Solid State Circuits organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Intel stated that the mining device provides more energy efficiency than any other hardware on the market.

Bitcoin mining is carried out using special hardware called ASIC. Each Intel Bonanza Mine (BMZ1) hardware combines 300 BMZ1 chips according to the specifications presented at the conference.

This 300 BMZ1 delivers 40 terahash per second (TH/s) of computing power, while combining to create a power rating of 3,600 watts (W). This means that it lags behind the hash rate specified by other leading miner devices in the market.

Bitmain’s Antminer S19 and S19 Pro deliver between 95 and 110 TH/s, while MicroBT’s WhatsMiner M30S generates hashes up to 112 TH/s.

Although this product of Intel lags behind in terms of hash power, the company emphasizes that the BMZ1 is more energy efficient. Companies such as Block and Argo have ordered Intel’s new product.

It was stated that Intel will release the second generation of BMZ1 in the future.
