Entering a major downward trend this year, Intel continues to layoffs. Except for casting-focused projects, the company cuts its expenses and reduces the number of employees. After the memory and storage sections, it’s time for data centers and the end user.

Layoffs in data centers

Data centers became a place where Intel gave importance and increased its investments after the end-user market. However, reasons such as the closure of memory and storage sections and the inability of graphics accelerators to provide the desired efficiency caused it to fall behind in the competition. The declines in the computer market, on the other hand, caused disappointment especially in processor sales.

According to the information received, Intel has decided to cut its spending on data centers and end-user division by 10 percent. It also plans to cut 20 percent in the number of employees. The firm wants to act faster in the current macroeconomic conditions. At the end of last year, the company made significant layoffs.
