Companies that do not engage in cryptocurrency mining are now the fingers of a hand. On the other hand, the demand for crypto mining has been effective in the price increase of the products of graphics processing unit manufacturers, including Intel, and has pushed it to be one of the reasons for the ongoing chip shortage. According to rumors, Intel is interested in the cryptocurrency mining business. However, the company is different, going from the ground up and creating a chip that specializes in crypto mining according to the information. Its name is Bonanza Mine.
According to the information received, Intel has been working on this chip for a long time and is now at the promotional stage. In fact, it will introduce this special chip mentioned at the International Solid State Circuits Conference, which will be held next month between February 20 and 24.
The chip, called Bonanza Mine, is described as an Ultra-Low Voltage Energy Efficient Bitcoin Mining ASIC. Intel’s initiative will put it in direct competition with companies such as Bitmain and MicroBT, the market leaders that produce integrated circuits (ASICs) dedicated to Bitcoin mining application. It is also known that Intel, unlike its rival NVIDIA, does not plan to add limits for Ether mining to its newly announced ARC GPUs.
