We mentioned that Intel, which has recently released its 13th Generation Raptor Lake architecture processors, has started to gradually cut its support for older generation architectures. In a new report shared today, Techpowerup reported that Intel will end support for integrated graphics for 6th Gen Skylake iGPUs. Reportedly, Intel will continue to support Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10 and Gen 9.5 architecture with 24 EU (execution units) support from 7th generation to 10th. However, we can say that the 6th Generation Skylake iGPUs have come to the end of the road.

At this point, it should be noted that regular driver updates will no longer be offered for retired chipsets. However, minor updates with security and stability fixes will continue. The final shared graphics driver version for Intel Skylake iGPUs will be 31.0.101.2115.
