Intel Core i9-14900KF broke records before launch
For those who don’t know, the most important upgrade to the Raptor Lake Refresh processors will be support for higher core counts, higher clock speeds, and faster DDR5 memory (potentially 6400 MT/s). Therefore, the new CPUs will continue to use the Intel 7 processing node and will be compatible with existing LGA 1700/1800 motherboards.
The flagship model of the series, Intel Core i9-14900KF, comes in a 6GHz clock speed and 24-core configuration. At this point, the processor, which achieved a record score of 4,939 on the PassMark platform, ranked first on the September list, leaving behind the current flagship Intel Core i9-13900KS and 13900K. Moreover, we should point out that the i9-13900KS in this ranking has a clock speed of 6.0 GHz and the 14900KF was tested with DDR5-5600 memory.

According to current reports, 14th generation Raptor Lake Refresh processors, including Intel Core i9-14900K and KF, will be introduced at the Intel event on October 17. This launch event will include a total of six models, all belonging to the 125W unlocked Core-K series series. Non-65W K models are expected to be introduced next January.
