AMD has surpassed the Intel Core series in terms of performance, especially with its recently released processors. It looks like Intel will reverse that with the i9-12900K. The Intel Core i9-12900K recently appeared in the Benchmark test. The CPU struggle between the two companies continues at very high stages.
According to a tweet shared by a Twitter user, the Intel Core i9-12900K surpasses the latest AMD chipsets. Testing of Intel’s flagship was done with NVIDIA RTX 3080 graphics card. On the AMD side, Radeon RX 5700XT was in use.
Intel Core i9-12900K is 800 points ahead of Ryzen 9 5950X
Looking at the screenshot in the tweet below, the Intel Core i9-12900K scored 15,900 in the Benchmark test. This puts it ahead of the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X with a score of 800. When we look at the FPS difference, we see that the value of 10 units plays. Let’s also mention that all tests took place at 1920×1080 resolution.
Apart from this test, two companies faced each other in the Ashes of the Singularity test. Here, in the test with 1440p resolution, the Intel side got 14,000 points, while the AMD front got 10.100 points. The difference has reached 38.6 percent. This shows that Intel has done a good job here.
Although AMD used a more powerful graphics card, it could not beat Intel’s new processor
Geekbench tests of the Intel Core i9-12900K also surfaced a while ago. In this, the chipset, which left behind the AMD front, showed a high performance. In the images shared by a different Twitter user, it is noteworthy that Intel’s new processor has again left AMD behind.
During testing, Intel Core i9-12900K was using RTX 3080, while AMD Ryzen 9 5950X had RTX 3090 graphics card installed. Despite AMD’s GPU advantage, it was still interesting to lose to Intel.
