Intel Core i5-14600K tested before launch
According to the shared leak, Intel Core i5-14600K will offer a total of 14 cores and 20 threads, 6 performance and 8 efficiency. Let us remind you that this configuration was previously used in the Core i5-13600K. So there is no big change here. However, the peak clock speed of the performance cores increases slightly from 5.1GHz to 5.3GHz.
In other tests, we see that the difference widens. The i5-14600K has a single-core score of 124 and a multi-core score of 1,430 in Cinebench 2024. Thus, it performs 8 percent to 14 percent better than its predecessor. In CPU-Z, there is a difference of 4 to 6 percent between the two processors.
Core i5-13600K and Core i5-14600K results:
- Cinebench R23:
- Single Core: 2021 – 2072 (2%)
- Multi-Core: 24,528 – 25,270 (+3%)
- Cinebench 2024:
- Single Core: 115 – 124 (+8%)
- Multi-Core: 1,255 – 1,430 (+14%)
- CPU-Z:
- Single Core: 819 – 868 (+6%)
- Multi-Core: 9,847 – 10,250 (+4%)
For those who don’t know, 14th Generation Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processors will continue to use Intel 7 processing nodes and will be compatible with existing LGA 1700/1800 motherboards. The biggest upgrade on the platform will be an increase in the number of cores, higher clock speeds and faster DDR5 memory support on certain models.
14th Generation Raptor Lake Refresh processors are expected to be introduced at the Intel Innovation 2023 event on October 17. Therefore, we think that more leaks will be shared in the coming days.
