Last October, Intel announced the 14th Generation Raptor Lake Refresh processors and clarified the K series models in the family. However, the wait still continues for mid- and entry-level solutions that do not have overclocking support. Finally, among these models, the Intel Core i5-14600 was displayed on the CPU-Z and Cinenbench platform before the launch.

Intel Core i5-14600 tested before launch

According to the information conveyed, Intel Core i5-14600 will appear in a configuration similar to its predecessor i5-13600. The tested processor has a total of 14 cores and 20 threads, 6 performance and 8 efficiency. In the shared screenshots, we see that speeds of 5.2GHz are reached. In this context, it will appear with a clock speed only 200MHz higher than its predecessor.

As for the results, the Core i5-14600, tested in Maximum Turbo Power (MTP) and PL2 mode, achieved 1,992 and 22,768 points in single and multi-core tests. The scores from CPU-Z are 837.7 and 9.395. We should note that these results are 1.2 percent (CPU-Z) to 5 percent (Cinebench) and 3.9 to 7 percent lower than the i5-14600K, respectively. In short, the performance is very close to the K version.

The release date of Intel 14th Generation K-less processors is still unconfirmed. However, the CPU giant is preparing for a new event on December 14. At this event, we may encounter Meteor Lake processors and non-K Raptor Lake Refresh processors.
