K-less versions of Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake processors are no longer a secret. These processors have both been leaked several times and confirmed in official documents by Microsoft and Gigabyte a few weeks ago.

New processors may be introduced on January 3

We know from the information that Intel is working on at least 20 processors. These include the “F” models without an integrated GPU with a TDP of 65W, and the “T” models with a low thermal budget of 35W. According to the reports, Intel is expected to introduce the new processors and chip on January 3, 2023, around CES 2023. The product version amount per set of Intel’s 13th Generation processors will be as follows:

  • i3-13100 = 3
  • i5-13400 = 3
  • i5-13500 = 2
  • i5-13600 = 4
  • i7-13700 = 5
  • i9-13900 = 5

The standard models of these processors will be variants of K, F, KF and T, and all will be compatible with current Intel’s Z790, Z690, H670, B660 and H610 series motherboards. On the other hand, Intel will add a new one to these chipsets. Consumers of the new chip, known as the B760, will offer a host of new features and additional I/O support. Intel’s new motherboard platform will compete with AMD’s B650 chipset.

But the battle between the Intel B760 and the AMD B650 chipset can be one-sided because B650 motherboards are expensive, which could give Intel a huge advantage. A similar move is coming from AMD as Intel is trying to increase its product line quickly. AMD is looking to offer more options at the price point by launching processors without the X-fix soon. In terms of price, AMD’s job is a bit difficult in this generation because the new Ryzen 7000 series processors bring the AM5 platform and DDR5 memory requirement. But regardless of price for long-term investment, AMD still seems to be one step ahead.
