Intel, which is involved in the desktop graphics card competition with Arc Alchemist GPUs, continues its work without slowing down. So much so that we have previously mentioned that the Arc A770 has been renewed and that the Arc A570 and A530M models are on the way, respectively. However, Intel’s support does not seem to be limited to this. Now the Intel Arc A380 has been quietly updated with minor clock speed increases.

Intel Arc A380 silently updated

For those who don’t know, ARC A380, the first desktop graphics card based on Intel’s Xe-HPG architecture, is powered by the ACM-G11 chip with 8 Xe-core configuration. However, the graphics card paired with a 2000 MHz base clock speed and 75W TDP was introduced with a 96-bit memory bus, 16 Gbps 6G GDDR6 memory and 192 GB/s memory bandwidth.

As reported, the newly shared Arc GPU drivers by Intel brought significant improvements, especially on the Arc A380. Essentially, the latest shared update focuses on stability and bug improvements, better fan control, and better HDMI compatibility. Interestingly, however, it turned out to increase clock speeds as well.

When we look at the shared images, we see that the clock speeds of the Intel Arc A380 have increased from 2000 MHz to 2150 MHz. When we make a small comparison, this change represents a 7.5 percent increase in clock speed. In addition, the Pixel Fillrate and Texture Fillrate results of the card increased to 68.8 GPixel/sec and 37.6 GTexel/sec, respectively. Let’s point out that these values are 64 GPixel/sec and 128 GTexel/sec for reference.

Let us remind you that the Intel Arc A380 is already on sale with a price tag of $ 100. At this point, it is one of the best budget graphics cards with AV1 support and XeSS features.
