As the release date of the new generation Nvidia and AMD graphics cards approaches, Intel, one of the giant names of the processor market, is preparing to take its place in the sector with Arc Alchemist models. In an interview with PC Games and Digital Foundry recently, Intel’s Tom Petersen and Ryan Shrout said that the company’s mid-range graphics cards Arc A750 and A770 will be released “very soon”.

RTX 3060 and RTX 3060Ti will rival

As for the cards, Arc A770, one of the top models of the series, stands out as a card that can outperform the RTX 3060 in 1080p ray tracing tests. However, Intel says that the A770 will rival the RTX 3060Ti, while the A750 will be positioned opposite the RTX 3060.

In the interview, both employees confirmed that the special A770 models will come with both 8GB and 16GB memory options, while the Limited Edition version will only have 16GB memory. A sub-model Arc A750 will be offered to users with 8GB memory capacity.

In addition, another highlight of the new cards is the XeSS artificial intelligence acceleration technology, which rivals DLSS, and full support for Microsoft’s DirectStorage technology. However, users will have to wait for Forspoken, which will debut next year, to see DirectStorage technology, which allows boot times to be drastically reduced. On the XeSS side, Intel claims that the technology will provide more than twice the FPS increase in performance mode.

Although Intel has started to bring the Arc A380, the entry model of the Arc series, to the global market, it is not yet known in which regions the top models of the series will be available for sale. On the other hand, while the prices of current AMD and Nvidia graphics cards continue to fall due to the weakening of mining and the approach of new generation cards, this may make it more difficult for Intel to enter the market.
