The time people spend on social media and the internet continues to increase day by day. As such, social media platforms started to develop more new features in order to attract more users.

There is a ‘sweet’ competition environment among the most used social media platforms today. Although they are rivals, TikTok and Instagram are more and more similar to each other, and one of the platforms with the highest number of users. As you know, Instagram has recently started working to add a few features that exist in TikTok. Now it turns out that Instagram can go through a much bigger change.

Instagram is going through a big change in its design

You know that a long time ago, Instagram users’ lives were first Stories and then Reels. We used the IGTV application for a short time. Although they have very similar features to TikTok, the two platforms are actually pretty tight rivals. Moreover, in the past few days, Instagram has announced that it will take new measures to prevent TikTok videos from coming to the fore.

Of course, in this case, Instagram, which does not want to lag behind its rival and tries to close the design differences between it and TikTok, has accelerated its work. The company’s current innovation will not be a simple addition such as the Post Pin feature. With the increasing amount of time users spend on Reels, the company that is addressing this issue will completely remove the Stories section from the main stream.

So where do Stories go?

As you can see above, with this new design that will focus on flat, photos and videos, Instagram plans to highlight Reels, where users spend more time. Of course, this new design will be criticized already and “Where are the stories?” It is clear that it will raise questions. The new location of the Stories bar remains unclear at this time.

It is not known whether there will be a change in the number of users if Instagram updates its design in this way. However, it is clear that the platform is becoming more and more like TikTok. Techcrunch says it’s a test image. In other words, there is a possibility that we will not see this new design in the coming days. However, if the allegations and images turn out to be true, things seem to heat up a bit.
