Unveiled by indie developer Alessandro Paluzzi, this new feature aims to introduce a non-removable tag to content created via Meta AI. Users on Instagram will be able to easily understand that an image was created through artificial intelligence with this tag.
The new feature, which is learned that Meta has tested with a limited user base, will add an informative text to a post that says “generated by artificial intelligence”. Thanks to this text, the user will be able to distinguish between a real image and an image created or edited by artificial intelligence. There is an unknown here. It is not clear whether the AI detection feature will consist only of Meta AI, or whether, for example, images created by DALL-E will also be detected.
