Users can use Support to obtain information on any subject, Spread Your Word to share on the subject, and Create a Fundraising Campaign for financial support.
In its blog post on the subject, the platform shared the following statement:
“With this new feature, you will be able to support, collect and spread news about social causes directly through hashtags. Tags have long been a place where people are discovering new reasons to support on Instagram, and now when you search for specific hashtags associated with certain gestures, you will have the option to support them.”
