Instagram, one of the most popular social media platforms in the world, continues to increase the user experience with new features it offers. Finally, the platform launched the broadcast channels feature, which allows content producers to increase their interaction with their followers.
Instagram’s broadcast channels feature is now available!
Roof company Meta announced the new broadcast channels feature of Instagram with a blog post it published on its official website today. At the same time, the CEO of the company, Mark Zuckerberg, introduced the feature by creating a broadcast channel called “Meta Channels”.
With the broadcast channels feature, content producers can share articles, images, videos and even surveys with their followers from the channel they created. Only the content producer can write a message to the created broadcast channel. Followers, on the other hand, can only react to messages with emojis and vote in polls.
Content producers can invite their followers to the broadcast channel by sharing a story or link. Apart from that, a one-time notification is sent to all followers when the channel is first created. The user can accept or decline this invitation. On the other hand, it is possible to exit the channel or mute notifications.
Social media phenomenon Hammod Oh, who was included in the testing process of Meta, shared the first images about the broadcast channels feature. So much so that with a tool that can be put into the story, it is possible to see that the followers can be invited to the channel. At the same time, the Channel section that comes to Messages does not go unnoticed. Here you can see the broadcast channels you are included in.
The broadcast channels feature is currently being tested in the US and has only been made available to some social media influencers. If you want to use this feature, you can reach the early access request page by clicking here. On the other hand, it is expected to be used worldwide in the near future.
