Instagram has released Stories, which were deleted 24 hours after they were shared in the summer of 2016, to all its users. The social media platform introduced the ability to respond with emoji first for followers who saw Stories a while ago. Then, it offered the function of reacting with emojis to its users. But now, according to the information that has emerged, one of them is taking off. Let’s take a look at the details of the news together.
Instagram is removing the ability to react to Stories with emojis
Alessandro Paluzzi, who shared about the features tested by social media platforms, announced that Instagram will completely remove a feature. According to @alex193a’s Twitter account, Instagram is removing the emoji response feature for Stories.
This feature has already been disliked by many users since its arrival. Because in cases where the previous emoji reply feature was used, it would fall directly into the Direct Message box of the other party. However, this emoji response feature, which will be removed, will only go as a notification instead of a Direct Message.
In this case, users do not want to use a function with only likes, since they cannot interact directly. The social media platform is also considering removing this feature to improve user experience. But he has not yet started to do any specific work on this subject. So there is no certainty about this issue yet.
The social media platform has also removed the Store tab from its submenu. He explained that he did it to make the interface simple. For now, it is not clear where the Store button he added to the Settings section will be permanently located. In other words, shopping and selling on the platform still continues.
