Instagram had launched a standalone messaging app called “Threads” a few years ago. This app was an expanded version of Instagram’s DM section. However, the application in question never reached the desired popularity. In fact, most of the Instagram users were not even aware of the name Threads. The latest development reveals that Instagram has made its surprising decision about Threads.
According to the statements made by Instagram, the messaging application called Threads will be unplugged. Users will learn that they will not be able to use the application again with the notifications they will receive as of November 23. Although the company has not announced a clear date on the subject, December 2021 will be recorded as the period when Threads was buried in the dusty shelves of history.
Features that Threads already has in Instagram DM
Instagram Threads offered a more uncluttered experience compared to Instagram DM. Other than that, it didn’t have any changes.
