The BeReal app has lost its popularity over time. But the app’s features continue to inspire other social media platforms. Many social media platforms have integrated many “inspired” features from BeReal into their applications. Now it turns out that Instagram is working on a new BeReal-like feature.

In a Twitter post he shared, Matt Navarra announced that a feature called “spontaneous stories”, similar to the BeReal feature, is coming to Instagram. According to the feature, users will be able to instantly share photos with a random notification.

Only those who use “spontaneous stories” will be able to see the photos

Instagram describes this new “spontaneous stories” feature as “a new way to see random moments from your friends’ daily lives.” With the new feature, the app will send everyone a daily notification at a random time. Users will then have a 5-minute window to share what they are doing with the front and rear cameras simultaneously.

Users will not be able to see the photo that anyone has shared using the feature, without sharing their photos. Shared photos will remain on the platform until the next day’s notification comes.

The new features will appear as a separate tab right next to the “stories” section on Instagram.
