Instagram, one of the most used social media platforms in the world, will have a ‘Dislike’ (dislike) option that users can use against comments that they are not interested in or dislike.

Adam Mosser, the chairman of the company, said in a statement through Threads that this new feature aims to improve user experience. As Youtube’s current policy, the number of dyslikes will not be open to everyone, and no one will see which interpretation is not liked, but the algorithm will begin to reduce the most disliked comments in the ranking.

Meta says that this innovation aims to create a healthier contact environment, especially by avoiding boat accounts and provocative comments. The test process is currently carried out with a finite set of user.
