Social media platforms like to copy each other’s features. This copying, which we see especially in Meta applications (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp), has now been applied by Twitter. Thanks to the feature called Twitter Circle, it is possible to choose the users who will see your tweets.

What is Twitter Circle and how to use it?

Twitter Circle, which first appeared at the beginning of May, makes it possible for you to post tweets that you don’t want everyone to see (or just want specific users to see). This innovation, which is similar to Instagram’s Close Friends feature, seems to have finally started to spread widely to users.

It is currently unknown which users are getting the Twitter Circle feature. In fact, innovation; Whether iOS, Android, or the web, it’s expanding in a mixed way. Therefore, you should update your Twitter app to check if you can use the feature.

After updating your Twitter application, come to the tweet sharing section. At the top of the tweet writing section, you will see a drop-down menu selected as “Public”. After clicking this menu -if the feature is available to you- you can select Circle and then specify the users who will see the tweet.

Twitter Circle is not yet available globally, so its capabilities are also unknown. However, according to the information so far, you can add up to 150 users to Circle, regardless of whether they follow you or not. You can also add or remove users for each tweet separately.

Additionally, let’s say that users you add to Twitter Circle will know this. Twitter will inform you that “Only users in Twitter Circle can see this tweet” just below the tweet you shared.
