Today, Instagram, which has gradually evolved into TikTok, is getting ready to have a ‘new’ feature within the scope of Meta’s ‘borrowing’ strategy. New details revealed by application developer Alessandro Paluzzi showed that Instagram will incorporate a critical feature of BeReal, one of the popular applications of the last period.
With the new feature that Instagram is testing, users will have the chance to share literally ‘instant’. Instagram will send a notification to users at a different time each day and remind them to share a photo. Two minutes will be given to share this photo.
How is the new feature used?
The new feature, currently called ‘Candid Challenges’, will appear in the ‘Stories’ section of the application. With the activation of the feature, users will reach the story page in the notifications. Users will only be able to shoot with dual cameras. In other words, they will use both the front camera and the rear camera, so they will show the place they are in and themselves.
The app is not currently being tested with users:
Reaching Meta with Paluzzi revealing the feature, The Verge received information about the status of the feature. A Meta spokesperson shared in a statement that the feature is currently being tested internally and is not projected onto other users.
