Paid subscription attack from Instagram
The new subscription system, announced as Meta Verified, will increase recognition and awareness on the company’s platforms. The service, which will start as a pilot in Australia and New Zealand, is expected to come to more countries later in the year.
Those who want to have a blue tick on Instagram and Facebook networks will pay $11.99 on the web and $14.99 on mobile. Users are required to be over the age of 18 and present their ID card to customer service.
In addition to the blue tick, users will receive 100 monthly stars with special tags on their Stories and Reels videos. It does not offer such a large catalog of benefits as Twitter. In addition, the entire approval process needs to happen again in order to change the credentials.
